Arsene Wenger has revealed Yaya Sanogo could spend the second half of the season at another Premier League club after admitting there is a ‘possibility’ the 21-year-old could secure a loan move away from north London in January.
Sanogo has been linked to French sides Bordeaux and Lorient in recent days, with the striker having struggled to break into Wenger’s starting line-up this term.
With Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Aston Villa being credited with also being interested in the player, Wenger has revealed he may allow Sanogo to leave the club this month – but would prefer the 21-year-old to spend the rest of the season at a Premier League side rather than in France.
Per Metro UK: When asked whether Sanogo could go out on loan in January, the Arsenal manager said: ‘It’s a possibility. I would prefer him to go to a Premier League club.
‘He is a goal scorer, he’s not frightened and a guy who is naturally aggressive.’
Sanogo signed for Arsenal on a free transfer in 2013 from French club Auxerre, and has gone on to score one goal for the Gunners in all competitions since then.
