Harry Kane may have been one of the in form forwards going into Tottenham’s clash with Chelsea, but not many expected him to put one of the Premier League’s meanest defences to the sword in such devastating fashion.
The youngster was a thorn in Chelsea sides all afternoon, scoring two, winning a penalty and setting up one as Tottenham became only the second ever team to put five goals past a side managed by Jose Mourinho.
The 21-year-old unleashed a shot from distance for his first before turning Nemanja Matic after half-time to place his second goal beyond Thibaut Courtois.
Kane was unsurprisingly named as man of the match, and judging by the reaction on Twitter Spurs fans might just have found uncovered an acceptable replacement for Gareth Bale…
