Ronaldo ‘to choose between United or a shock Manchester City transfer’

Ronaldo 'to choose between United or shock City move'

Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to leave Real Madrid after revealing his frustrations with the Spanish club’s transfer policy, and is set to choose between a dramatic return to Manchester United or a sensational move to Manchester City.

The World Player of the Year had publicly blasted Madrid bosses for selling key players Xabi Alonso and Angel di Maria, and it now appears that the Portuguese has become so disillusioned with the club that he is desperate to move on, with both United and City poised to make a move for the 29 year-old, according to the Sunday Express.

Ronaldo is thought to favour a return to his beloved Old Trafford, where he would be welcomed back with open arms.

But with United spending over £150 million on players like Falcao and Di Maria this summer, the £60 million fee that Madrid would expect to receive for Ronaldo may be seen by van Gaal as being too much for another attacker.

This leaves the door open for City, who have tried to tempt Ronaldo to the blue half of Manchester before and would no doubt love to snatch the United legend from under their closest rival’s noses.
