Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was spotted going ballistic at his own teammates after they conceded an equaliser against Leicester City on Sunday – despite the fact that it was his missed clearance that led to the goal.
The Foxes stunned United by levelling the match having been 3-1 down, and Rooney was incandescent with rage, storming around the pitch to furiously scold his colleagues for letting their lead slip.
However, it was Rooney who was the player mostly at fault for the goal, as the 28-year-old gave the ball away on the edge of his own area, with the resulting shot eventually being fired in by Leicester’s Esteban Cambiasso to make it 3-3.
If this is how Rooney reacts to a goal that was his own fault, it doesn’t bear thinking about what he’ll do when it’s someone else’s…
