What a difference six weeks make: Evra has signed for another year at United but is now off to Turin
Patrice Evra is leaving Manchester United to join Juventus for a nominal £1.2million fee.
Juventus have targeted the France World Cup full-back and have offered him a two-year deal worth £55,000-a-week to join them.
This tops the 12-month contract Evra had agreed with the Reds in May and the Serie A champs can also offer him a regular starting place and Champions League football.
United wanted Evra to stay next season to provide cover while Luke Shaw settled in at Old Trafford after his world-record for a teenager move from Southampton and were happy to agree a one-year contract extension with the left-back.
However it is believed Evra's wife Sandra is not keen on staying in Manchester and wanted him to move.
United are not standing in the 33-year-old's way, and have told him he can go for a reduced fee.
