Ordinary Jo: Will Brazil try to beat Colombia without a traditional striker?
Luis Felipe Scolari is considering changing tactics for Brazil's World Cup quarter-final against Colombia to solve his striker problem.
The host nation have tried different formations in training, with misfiring centre-forwards Fred and Jo struggling to convince so far in the tournament that they can lead the line.
It may result in coach Scolari switching Hulk inside, allowing more players to flood the midfield and counter-attack the threat of James Rodriguez.
Brazil are clearly concerned about the Colombian playmaker, with Chelsea midfielder Ramires is well aware of his danger.
Ramires said: “I’ve never played against him but I’ve been watching him since he was at Porto.
"I saw Rodriguez had quality and he is doing great in this World Cup. He is the Colombian player we have to keep an eye on most. He has been outstanding and he is leading them.”
Brazil’s star striker Neymar insists that he has recovered from bad knee and thigh bruising and will start Friday night’s game.
