Swoop: United would have to fork out €33million to land Gustavo
Here's our wrap of all the United stories from today's papers and across the web...
Van Gaal in means Buttner out
Alexander Buttner is leaving Manchester United - because new boss Louis van Gaal doesn't rate him, writes our man David McDonnell.
Van Gaal's arrival at Old Trafford has convinced left-back Buttner to leave United - with Dinamo Moscow his likely destination.
Buttner, 25, is turning his back on United because he feels he has no future under van Gaal, who has consistently overlooked him for his Holland squad.
Buttner said: "Van Gaal never gave me the chance in the Dutch national team, despite being voted man of the match 14 times at Manchester United.
"Apparently he is not very confident about me. So I think this is the right moment to leave."
United line up Gaitan swoop
Manchester United are reportedly preparing a cash-plus-player offer involving Bebe for Benfica's Nicolas Gaitan.
The Red Devils have been repeatedly linked with the midfielder , and are thought to be ready to include misfit Bebe in a potential deal.
It now seems Louis van Gaal will make a move for Gaitan this summer as he looks to bolster his ranks in the engine room.
Bebe has rebuilt his career back in his homeland somewhat during his loan spell with Pacos de Ferreira last term, and United want to capitalise by using him as a makeweight in a move for Gaitan.

Gustavo on the radar
United have shown an interest in Brazilian World Cup star Luis Gustavo.
The midfielder left Bayern Munich to Wolfsburg at the start of last season and his performances have attracted some of the heavyweights in European football.
Inter Milan and Monaco are both said to be keen but according to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, it is United who lead the race.
Louis van Gaal wants to bring in a defensive midfielder this summer but will have to meet Gustavo's €33million release clause to snap him up.
Kroos no closer to Bayern deal
United target Toni Kroos is no closer to committing his future to Bayern Munich, despite the club handing Thomas Muller and Philipp Lahm new deals.
The German midfielder is out of contract in a year's time and has already turned down the first offer from the Bundesliga champions.
And according to the Mail, Kroos said: "There's nothing new to report. If anything does happen, then you will all find out."
Ex-boss David Moyes had made the midfielder one of his top transfer targets and although Van Gaal said he had other preferred options, a bid could be made.
Vermaelen wants out
According to the Metro, Arsenal skipper Thomas Vermaelen has begged the club to let him join United.
The Belgian - who is entering the final year of his contract - has appeared as a surprise target for new boss Van Gaal having fallen out of favour in north London.
And he is now said to have told manager Arsene Wenger that he doesn't want to remain with the club.
