More success: Will Spain retain their trophy this summer?
Vicente del Bosque's men are out to make history this summer as the
first European side to win in South Africa and these calculations show
they might just do it
Well that's according to German scientists who have predicted the outcome of every single match in Brazil this summer.
The
Freie Universitat and other universities have used several methods
including FIFA rankings, historical performances and respective playing
strengths to come to their conclusions.
And they have revealed Vicente del Bosque's men as the winner - beating their beloved Germany in the final!
According to the study, England will progress from Group C in top spot before beating Ivory Coast in the Round of 16.
But it looks like being a familiar story for the Three Lions as they fall at the quarter-final stage to eventual winners Spain.
The 2010 winners then beat host nation Brazil in the semi-final while Argentina lose to the Germans.
Scientists believe there is a 66 - 70 per cent chance that one of the four teams will win the World Cup this summer.
