Manchester United are reportedly set to sign Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Laporte is one of Europe’s most promising young defenders, and a host of leading clubs have been watching him closely.
But United now look set to grab with the player, with suggestions in Spain that the transfer is all but done.
The Frenchman is said to be packing up bags ahead of moving to Old Trafford, with only the final details of the fee left to be sorted before the switch happens.
United have offered £25million for Laporte, and while Athletic want more, a final agreement is expected shortly.
