Arsenal are set to open talks with Celtic over signing Netherlands defender Virgil van Dijk.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sign another centre-back in the January transfer window and has identified the 23-year-old as someone who can make the step up to the Premier League.
According to the Daily Star, Celtic boss Ronny Deila is reluctant to lose the defender but the Glasgow club’s financial position means they would not be able to turn down a large offer from the North Londoners.
