Jurgen Klopp has mounted the pressure on under-fire Brendan Rodgers by admitting to friends that he would like to manage Liverpool.
The German coach will leave Dortmund after their German Cup final clash with Wolfsburg on Saturday and he is thought to be keen to move abroad this summer, according to the Mirror.
Rodgers’ position has come under increasing scrutiny in recent days after the Reds finished the season with a humiliating 6-1 defeat to Stoke that consigned the club to a 6th place finish.
Though the Liverpool owners still retain faith in Rodgers, they are aware that the chance to appoint a coach like Klopp does not come around very often and they are tempted to act this summer.
