Manchester United are closing in on a £40million deal for Juventus star Arturo Vidal after holding positive talks with his agent.
Vidal, 27, is United’s number one transfer target this summer and despite Juventus insisting he’s not for sale, Louis van Gaal is increasingly confident of getting his man.
United reportedly spoke with Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich on the phone last week and now the Daily Mail says positive talks have been held in person about a transfer.
Felicevich is in England after helping another client, Alexis Sanchez, complete a £30million move to Arsenal and he is keen to get Vidal a bumper switch too.
The Chile international, who only signed a new contract with Juve last year, will reportedly be offered £230,000-a-week to join United.
